News Columns

One of the most effective tools you can use as a legislator are your local papers. The good news about small town and county papers is that you aren’t likely going to find pages and pages of crime coverage. The bad news is that the crime free rural communities don’t have that much to cover. Editors are chomping at the bit to fill their paper with informative columns. Help your local editor out and send them weekly updates during session and a monthly news column the rest of the year. Monthly updates are a great way to keep your constituents informed on major issues and by the time your next election rolls around, you will be known as the official that cares enough to keep folks in the loop!
